Tenets/Statement of Faith
We believe in God the Father, infinite in wisdom, goodness and love; and Jesus Christ, His Son, our Lord and Saviour, who lived, died, and rose again and lives forevermore for us and our salvation, and in the Holy Spirit, who takes the things of Christ and reveals them to us, comforting, renewing and sealing the souls of men unto the Day of our Lord.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church on earth with all honor to be directed to Him alone as He sits at the right Hand of the Father in heavenly places – Eph. 1: 20-23
We believe the Bible is the divinely-inspired and infallible Word of God, designed to be used for establishing all doctrine, answer all criticisms, set correction and instruction in all things righteous and therefore it is our final authority.
The Holy Bible is the Word of God; It is: Inerrant in its content – Scripture: 2Tim. 3:16-17 Absolute in its authority – Scripture: Psalm 68:17 Complete in its revelation – Scripture: 2 Peter 1:20-21
We believe that WATER BAPTISM by immersion is a rite of the Church, that is an outward expression of an inward experience, and that it shows that the believer is dead to sin, that the old man has been buried with Christ and it shows that he (the believer) has been resurrected in the newness of life. (Romans 6:3-4, I Peter 3:21; Acts 2:38).
We believe in HOLY COMMUNION, that this too is a rite of the Church, and it shows that you are one with Christ, that you believe in and walk according to His teachings and that you partake in this rite, to commemorate His death. (I Corinthians 11:23-28).
We believe in being united in striving to know the will of God as taught in the Holy Scriptures.
We hold it to be the “mission” of the Church of Christ to proclaim the gospel to all nations, exalting the worship and service of the One true and Living God and Father of us all. Matt.28:19-20
We believe: You must be “Born Again”, in order to enter into the Kingdom of God, by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord over all and that God the Father raised Him from the dead – Rom. 10:9, John 3:3.
We believe: THE FALL AND REDEMPTION OF MAN — Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. Because “…all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” and “…There is none righteous, no, not one” (Rom. 3:10; 3:23), Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Rom. 5:14; 1 John 3:8). Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the Law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God (Eph. 2:8–10).
